Two great companies come together to present a dynamic 16 hour seminar to be followed with the Radiation Oncology Certified Coder Exam (ROCC®) on Friday.

The seminar is led by industry experts: Carl R. Bogardus, Jr., M.D., Linda Lively, James Hugh and Scott Simmons. The team will teach a dynamic & intensive session on radiation oncology billing, compliance, and documentation.

Attendees receive the “Basic Principles of Billing, Coding & Compliance in Radiation Oncology,” by BMSi, and the AMAC manual, “Radiation Oncology: Coding, Billing, Documentation & Compliance”. These guides cover all of the Medicare rulings, an explanation of each code, along with examples. CPT codes will be discussed in-depth. Professional, technical and global billing will be addressed.

 ROCC® CEUs will be awarded. Dosimetrists will receive credits for MCDB.

Approval is pending for ASRT, AAPC and AHIMA CEUs.

CEU Certificates will be provided following the end of the final session. No partial credit will be awarded for attending less than the designated activity planned time. Those participants leaving before the end of the final session will not receive CEU certificates. Keep in mind, this is a stipulation from the accrediting entities not a BMSi or AMAC rule.

The price of the seminar is $1,595.00 per person. This price does not include airfare and hotel. The deadline to register, payment deadline and cancellation notice is listed on each registration form. See cancellation policy. The ROCC exam is a separate fee of $495.00. There is an ROCC study guide available to purchase for $199.00.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Throughout the session, we will be answering participants questions related to radiation oncology billing and coding issues, dilemmas with their local insurance carriers and Medicare, and other associated topics. The participants will have an opportunity to discuss their own clinical examples of these procedures and how they relate to their individual practices. Audience participation is encouraged and time will be devoted to each session for questions/answers.

Upon completion of this activity:

  • You should recognize the vital importance of compliance with all existing rules and regulations of Medicare and other insurance carriers.
  • You should relate to proper and accurate documentation of all performed procedures.
  • You should be able to identify and employ effective charge capture.
  • You should be able to recognize and categorize correct submission to billing.
  • You should be able to apply all these skills to all procedures done in radiation oncology.
